<p>About this role</p><p></p><p></p><h2>Web Tech Engineering</h2><p>The Web Tech Engineering team is responsible for providing a solid software technology platform serving more than 100 public-facing websites of our company under the blackrock.com and ishares.com domains. These websites serve around 4 million individual visits per month, providing comprehensive data about our investment funds on more than 160 000 so-called product pages, enable roughly thousands of updates of web content and roughly 10 000 document uploads daily, as well as provide authentication for close to a million registered users globally.</p><p></p><p>As a Team Lead, Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be:</p><ul><li>Leading a software engineering team in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of projects.</li><li>Mentoring team members, managing performance reviews, and supporting career development and training.</li><li>Facilitating effective communication within the team and with stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project goals and regular updates</li><li>Collaborating with product management on the right units of work to include in each development sprint.</li><li>Designing, coding, testing, and supporting reliable, robust software applications and services with high-quality standards.</li><li>Participating actively in multi-functional feature requirements gathering, design, and implementation.</li><li>Conducting code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and providing feedback to team members.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>What You'll Need:</h2><ul><li>Minimum 7 years of professional software development</li><li>Experience in people management and leadership</li><li>Experience with Python and/or a JVM based language, preferably Java</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)</li><li>Experience with software containerization platforms like Docker or Kubernetes.</li><li>Proficiency in building and passionate about crafting great products that solve big problems</li><li>Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and time management abilities</li><li>Strong analytical skills and passion to understand existing systems</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Nice to have:</h2><ul><li>Some experience with any of the modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.js</li><li>Understanding of typical Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, J2EE, etc.</li><li>Hands-on relational database and SQL skills</li><li>Solid understanding in Java and Spring framework, as well as Git, Maven or Gradle, and Jenkins</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Our benefits</p><p></p><p>To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Our hybrid work model</p><p></p><p>BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
