About the role

We’re seeking interns with an interest in Cybersecurity! As an SEI intern, you will work on real projects and collaborate with our technical staff.

The undergraduate research assistant is an enrolled student performing research functions. Research assistants work with faculty members in the hiring faculty member's area of expertise. Research Assistants may assist faculty with developing curriculum, identifying, and obtaining source material and data, exploring current trends, interacting with individuals in private industry, government, and/or non-profit organizations. RA's may organize materials, gather, and analyze data, create draft and edit documents, prepare bibliographies, etc. In addition, the RA may assist in the development & execution of research projects including experiment design, analysis of data & write up of results. Students must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to perform statistical analysis. Position may require specific computer and/or statistical proficiency.

Requirements:
Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree granting program, with availability to work an internship schedule during the summer semester

  • Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Candidates will be subject to a background check

  • Able to work onsite at our offices in Pittsburgh

  • Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
