Nature of Work: 

The R2 Marketing and Events Manager position oversees planning, logistics, activation and execution of MLS Next Pro home games and club events as well as lead efforts related to R2 game and brand promotion.  

Examples of work performed: 

• Directs every aspect of MLS Next Pro Rapids 2 game presentation to ensure proper timing, organization, and desired effects pertaining to league mandates, team requirements, and sponsorship agreements while working closely with public address announcer, game clock operators and officials 

1. Direct all game presentation staff including cameras, technical director, graphics/video operators, music, lighting/ spot ops, sound, fascia/matrix op, production assistants and coordinators    
2. Produces public addresses and timing game scripts, including but not limited to pre-game team and sponsor features, team introductions and announcements, game sponsor reads/promotions and all game entertainment elements. 
3. Oversee development of graphic, animated, and video packages for video boards, LED boards, and fascia including but not limited to replays, player introductions, sponsor features, and player statistics in partnership with Digital and Marketing Leads  
4. Work closely with Rapids Digital, Marketing and Broadcast to produce all videos, graphics, and other features; assist with video edits to ensure timing and desired image are achieved. 

• Build brand awareness and advertising strategies to promote R2 initiatives, events, programs, and ticket sales across multiple channels in support of overall strategic marketing plan 
• Evaluate and reconcile campaigns on an on-going basis to ensure all materials are placed and running as planned 
• Oversee Rapids 2 creative pipeline and deliverables throughout approval and production process  
• Manage all Rapids 2 institutional marketing inventory across DSGP, Ball Arena and other owned platforms 
• Knowledge based expert on MLS Next Pro commercial guidelines 
• Work with Marketing and Partnership Marketing to develop and activate on-brand sponsorship assets to garner revenue opportunities for the club.  
• Assist with the planning and execution of all club events  
• Serve as production assistant for Rapids 1 match presentation for all home games and other club events  
• Inspire, motivate and supervises all Rapids 2 match presentation staff including Street Team, production assistants, coordinators and supporting commercial departments  
• Work closely with Department Leadership, Stadium Operations, KSE Risk and Asset Management and Communications to develop, implement, and execute Crisis Management Emergency Action plan for MLS Next Pro matches 
• Manage the budgeting and staffing levels for club events, including gameday 
• Serve as liaison with stadium management and team operations 
• Executing other duties as assigned.
