Zurich is seeking a Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineer. The qualified individual must reside within or near Washington State. This is a work from home role and includes a company car for local travel.
As a Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineer you are responsible for:

Providing jurisdictional inspections and machinery breakdown risk assessment services for customers and business partners.

Provides intermediate machinery breakdown consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major losses and hazard/machinery breakdown management programs.

Provides basic level training for customers, service design and coordination, marketing, and loss investigations.
Final candidates will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle record background check, because this position includes a company car.
The role will be filled at the Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineering Trainee OR Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineer Consultant level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineering Trainee Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area
OR -
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering and Safety area
OR
Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineer Consultant Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering area
OR -
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering area
OR -
Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 3 or more years of experience within Boiler and Machinery in the Risk Engineering area
AND -
Experience working in a team environment

Relevant experience in the assessment of risk, based on what is required by LOB specific competency standards
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge within the boiler and machinery industry segment

Relevant experience in the assessment of risk, based on what is required by Machinery Breakdown specific competency standards

National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission Card
-
Navy Nuclear School
-
Insurance industry experience
-
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word)

Strong communication and organization skills

Experience working in a team environment
