JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This part-time research technician position will be responsible for performing a wide range of sample preparation tasks, working with various environmental matrices. Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, posses knowledge of basic lab skills. Successful candidate will be working with various sample prep equipment to perform extractions, evaporation, sample pretreatment in preparation for sample analysis.

This position will support sample preparation.  These tasks require an organized, reliable, detail oriented individual with good lab skills that include specific standard operating procedures. Tasks will include learning and using balance, microbalance, solid phase extraction, sample evaporation, reconstitution, etc.  We have new lab equipment to support sample preparation which include Geno Grinder, Ball Mill, Accelerated Solvent Extractor, Rocket for sample evaporation, muffle furnace, vacuum oven, etc.
