Project Manager Senior

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the DMC Deputy Assistant Director for Operations, this position will serve as an executive/senior project manager, working on a wide array of highly visible, priority projects for the Division and Agency. This position will plan, direct, and coordinate executive level activities as well as provide project management experience and expertise in order to ensure successful execution of the Agency's most challenging and comprehensive projects. This position will not have any direct subordinates reporting to them.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead specific projects/project teams as assigned, including but not limited to: Audits issued by federal or state partners; Analysis through implementation of state and federal regulatory changes; Request for proposal (RFP) development and contract administration for managed care plan contracts and third party vendor contract such as external quality review organizations.
• Assess project feasibility; determine program goals and develop implementation tools; design project structures to promote effective work accomplishment and set effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and management/ internal control standards.
• Obtain resources necessary to achieve desired project objectives; assume responsibility for the effective use of government resources; work with key officials both within and outside the organization to gain understanding and support for the project.
• Monitor work status through formal and informal means to evaluate progress towards objectives; assess overall effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the organization; identify, diagnose, and consult on problem areas related to implementation and goal achievement; and make decisions regarding alternative courses of action.
• Review staff recommendations on policies and other programmatic implications developed as part of project work; consider the potential impact on political, social, economic, technical, and administrative factors and advise the work groups/team and/or the Assistant Director of possible concerns and considerations.
