Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager 2 Data AnalyticsĀ to join our team of highly skilled and diverse professionals in Melbourne, FL.

This hands-on leader will oversee a team responsible for establishing a culture of data-driven decision making and creating business value through promoting the application of data analytics techniques across a broad range of business areas. They will regularly interact with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy data analytics systems that are aligned to our strategic roadmap. The successful candidate must be entrepreneurial-minded and a self-starter with the ability to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement the program-specific data strategy that supports the enterprise data strategy

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high performing team of data architects, engineers, and scientists

  • Implement data science practices for prescriptive, predictive, diagnostic, descriptive, and cognitive analytics through automation, storage elasticity, and on-demand self service provisioning of all data types and lifecycles

  • Proactively identify issues and inefficiencies within the business to develop and deploy solutions

  • Enable the adoption of data analysis methodologies across program operations for improved performance analysis

  • Establish and enforce data visualization and reporting standards to ensure consistency, accuracy and usability across the program

  • Support the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutions

  • Actively engage with program leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational problems

  • Manage the data infrastructure, network, and system automation

  • Ensure common User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) are designed and developed across the program

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in a related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 9 years of related professional experience; OR Master of Science in a related STEM discipline and 7 years of related professional experience

  • Experience executing data strategies that consider big data solutions such as data lakes and/or data warehouses

  • Understanding of elastic data storage and archive storage lifecycle management

  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, etc.) and techniques

  • Experience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologies

  • 2+ years of experience with UI/UX design and development

  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as
