Are you passionate about food service and looking for an opportunity to make a difference in a supportive community? Trinity Elms Assisted Living is hiring a dedicated and experienced Part-time Cook Supervisor for our dietary department to ensure quality meal service for our residents.

Position Details

• Position is part-time 
• Pay: $15 per hour
• Hours: 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Dietary Department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Dining Services.
• Review menus and prepare regular and therapeutic diet meals according to planned menus.
• Follow standardized recipes and serve meals adhering to dietary needs and portion controls.
• Assist in menu planning and preparation of special meals.
• Train, coach, and supervise dietary personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Report equipment and supply needs to the Director of Dietary Services.
• Participate in training sessions to improve skills and work habits.

Qualifications

• High school coursework, diploma, or GED; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and dietary instructions.
• Experience in food preparation and serving methods.
• Knowledge of food sanitation principles.
• Supervisory experience in food service is preferred.

Working Conditions

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds and work with cleaning agents.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
• Must maintain hygiene standards and be free from infections or diseases.
