Job Overview:
Tim Hortons US is commencing on a growth era, including accelerating its store count to over 1000 locations by 2028. In the fast-paced Coffee QSR environment our guests are expecting more from us every day. This Regional Marketing role is responsible for driving sales, traffic, and profitability at these new restaurants. Additionally, the regional marketing manager is responsible for supporting the translation of Tim Horton’s brand positioning into actionable strategies that resonate in our home region.
This includes plans/ideas specific to each market as well as implementing the Tim Hortons national campaigns of Smile Cookie and Camp Day in a relevant way to these new markets. The ideal candidate has a background in introducing a high-growth restaurant brand to new markets in the US and successfully driving traffic.
You will work closely with the other Regional Marketing Managers who oversee the existing markets in the northern US and the Area Franchise Lead and Manager of Franchise Performance for the East region. You will also work with our central marketing functions for Tim Hortons US including Marketing, Digital & Technology, Operations, and Global Business Services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with owners and leadership to implement initiatives that bring Tim Hortons’ brand positioning to life, ensuring alignment with core brand values and strategic goals.
• Guide owners in the execution of community relationship building including: regional marketing, local partnerships, and social impact initiatives
• Plan and manage ongoing local/regional campaigns aligned to brand values to sustain market-wide sales in the East region
• Responsible for managing franchisee relationships in the East region regarding marketing, including but not limited to establishing weekly/monthly status checks with owners which include in-person visits to local restaurants on a weekly basis
• Responsible for supporting and executing any local/regional sports sponsorships and other brand related sponsorships
• Supports the analysis of marketing programs, new product introductions, promotions and effectively measures their success to help gain greater understanding of local sales, traffic, and profitability
• Brings local and regional knowledge and context to the corporate team for understating sales and traffic patterns
• Assist in onboarding digital sales channels, including third-party delivery, mobile app ordering, and exterior digital menu boards
• Facilitates the accurate and timely communication of brand marketing programs, systems, and procedures to franchisees
• Provides reporting and business/trend analysis allowing performance analytics team and franchisees to make profit-maximizing decisions
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
• Residence in Buffalo, NY or surrounding area preferred, willingly to travel throughout the north east region
• Ability to work after hours and on weekends for special events as necessary
• 2-5 years relevant work experience in field marketing in-region and understands integrated marketing strategy and event planning experiences
• Take initiative and work with urgency to drive outcomes in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple priorities, lead projects simultaneously and deliver deliverables on budget and on schedule
• Demonstrates excellent organization skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Demonstrates strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and influencing ability to maintain and grow productive relationships with franchisees
