Anchorage Digital is developing innovative and effective analytics and data governance strategies for its operations as well as meeting regulatory requirements. Your role as the Member of Global Analytics (Data Governance Lead) involves implementing and maturing our enterprise-wide data governance program, and leveraging data analytics to improve firm-wide practices. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the data governance platform, and a point of escalation for governance and data quality issues.
This role requires adaptability due to the diverse range of data analytics projects and governance responsibilities you will manage to support various functions. You should be able to engage with key stakeholders from compliance, finance, IT, InfoSec and data platform on broad data management topics, such as data catalog, data documentation, metadata and data lineage management, targeted data controls, and reporting. You should be comfortable with coding and handling a large set of data, and conducting data analytics projects independently.

Technical Skills:
- Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations with disparate datasets, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong understanding of data catalogs, metadata management, data lineage, and other data governance concepts and practices.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Oversee the data governance program, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance data quality, integrity, and security.
- Develop and implement data quality standards and monitoring processes, including the establishment of data quality metrics, thresholds, and remediation procedures.
- Manage data governance platform (Atlan) and serve as the primary subject matter expert.
- Assist in data classification efforts, including the identification and categorization of sensitive data and critical data elements.
- Manage external data requests, including regulatory inquiries, ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
- Monitor and report on key data governance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead data governance meetings and workshops, facilitating discussions and decision-making processes to drive the data governance program forward.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Have a deep knowledge of the strategy of Anchorage Digital and its various business lines. Actively engage with different groups to work on understanding historical transactions as well as requirements for executing on go-forward global strategy.
- Possess strategic thinking and vision, with the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

- Articulate a clear strategy for your function and communicate across the company effectively.
- Build effective relationships and rapport with stakeholders including cross-functional partners and external partners.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analytics or governance are preferred.
- Degree in engineering, information management, business administration, or economics preferred.
