Sr Reservoir Engineer

Description

The Reservoir Engineer will work in TGNR’s Houston office and have the option to work remotely two (2) days a week. The position will focus on corporate planning, A&D, and Reserves. The position will have direct interactions with multiple teams including Geology, Operations, Finance, and Upper Management.  

· Perform the engineering analysis of the TGNR budgeting, corporate reserves, long-term planning, and A&D processes while providing detailed results for banks/investors

· Provide reservoir engineering support for base producing wells including decline curve analysis and identifying wells that are off trend

· Make recommendations for well location/spacing, completion parameters, and other design considerations to optimize well performance and development efficiency. 

· Coordinate lookback analysis to evaluate lessons learned and improvements for future activities

· Investigate and understand other operators’ projects to assist in company exploration and development processes 

· Maintain up-to-date and auditable reserves database

· Generate and maintain type-well curves and provide forecasts for planning purposes

· Lead the reserves process and be able to defend reserve estimations to both internal and external parties

· Work directly with banks, third party auditors, investors, and other groups within TGNR to deliver timely and detailed analysis

· Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• ARIES proficiency required
• Spotfire and/or Power BI proficiency required
• SQL experience a plus
• A minimum of 5+ years of Reservoir Engineering experience with a demonstrated focus on reserves, corporate planning, and acquisition analysis
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Petroleum Engineering 
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
