872 - D/L Lumber Yard - LY-Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary:
The Maintenance mechanic has the skill and ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all factory machinery. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to facility maintenance. Responsibilities are to observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair. Read manuals and order proper parts. Assemble and test machines to verify correction of malfunction.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
▪ High School, Trade School diploma or eqivalent.
▪ Minimum of four (4) years of related facilities maintenance experience.
▪ Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
▪ Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices
▪ Excellent communication skills.
▪ Ability to handle stress in high pressure environment.
▪ Creativity in solving problems and looking for alternative options.
▪ Ability to work efficiently, effectively with a sense of urgency.
▪ Ability to interface with associates at all levels of the organization.
▪ Ability to be highly responsive and detail oriented, with excellent follow through.
Pay Range is $19 - $25 per hour.
