Position: Parking Ambassador
Location: Fairbanks International Airport
Schedule: Shifts may vary
Pay: $16.00/hour


The Ambassador ensures a welcoming environment and smooth operation of commercial vehicle activities at Fairbanks International Airport. This includes taxis, shuttles, tour buses, delivery trucks, rideshares, and chauffeurs. The Ambassador provides direction, education, and information to the drivers of these vehicles. Working in tandem with team members, the Operations Manager, and/or Airport administration, the Ambassador upholds cleanliness and safety standards consistently. Key Responsibilities

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays is required.
  • Serve as a traffic controller to guide incoming commercial vehicles to their designated areas.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining and repairing parking equipment, as well as performing general maintenance tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager.
  • Employ respectful communication to help guests with their inquiries, issues, and concerns, and communicate the information back to the Operations Manager.
  • Promptly report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain professional communication with guests, clients, and team members at all times.
  • The employee is expected to be able to carry out the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Conduct general housekeeping duties – monitor for any large debris, non-functioning lights, or potential hazards and report them immediately to the Operations Manager.


Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
  • Driver's license is a plus
