The Role
We are seeking a highly relational and organized Senior Functional Medicine Consultant to lead the onboarding and transition of a defined set of healthcare practitioner (HCP) accounts acquired through the MetaMidwest business integration. This is a sales role focused on activating business and building long-term value with assigned HCPs through strategic communication, education, and tailored sales support.The Senior Functional Medicine Consultant will serve as the key liaison representing Metagenics with professionalism and clarity—ensuring every assigned practitioner understands the change of ownership, is properly set up to order through Metagenics, and is equipped with the tools and resources needed for success.In addition to leading the onboarding process, this role is responsible for selling the Metagenics product portfolio to practitioners for resale in-office or through a digital dispensary platform. This includes educating practitioners on the features, benefits, and clinical applications of Metagenics’ science-backed nutritional solutions, and aligning those offerings with each practice’s specific needs and patient care goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the onboarding and successful integration of assigned HCP accounts transitioning from the MetaMidwest business into Metagenics systems and processes• Communicate the change of ownership, ordering process, and ongoing support plan using Metagenics-approved materials and messaging• Establish trust and rapport with each practitioner to ensure a seamless customer experience and long-term business continuity• Actively sell and position the Metagenics product portfolio to assigned HCPs for use in their practice or through Metagenics’ digital dispensary platform• Deliver tailored product education by translating clinical features and benefits into practical solutions for patient care and practice growth• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within assigned accounts by understanding clinical modalities and patient population needs• Conduct in-person and virtual visits to ensure activation milestones are met and product adoption is occurring• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in CRM of account progress, engagement, and key insights• Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, marketing, and field sales leadership to resolve issues and streamline account transitionst
•Meet defined onboarding, sales, and customer satisfaction KPIs• Stay current on industry trends, Metagenics product innovations, and functional medicine protocols• Participate in team trainings, sales meetings, and strategic planning initiatives as required
Basic Requirements
Experience / Training / Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in an outside sales role
- Demonstrated success in previous outside sales role
- Experience working with functional medicine, OB/GYN, and/or Primary Care MDs strongly preferred

- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas
- Strong presentation capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability and willingness to learn products and industry-specific knowledge
- Ability to travel by car and/or plane frequently
