Are you ready to put your management experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join our Team as a General Manufacturing Manager 1 and support the production of our Special Test Equipment and Electronic Countermeasures programs at our Warner Robins, GA site. 

You will lead a team of 14 employees in an ever-evolving, high paced production environment. You will have daily oversight, and responsibility for the timely execution of the monthly production schedule. Your specific duties include but are not limited to:

Ensure your teams understand their connection to business goals and their impact on financial results. Monitors the production schedule and day to day workflow following EVMS guidelines (CPI/SPI, BCWS/BCWP/ACWP, EAC/BAC). Clearly and frequently articulates the team’s role in achieving the goals of the organization.

Prepare weekly Production metrics to Operations Manager, Product Delivery Manager, Program Managers and Senior Leadership. Communicates information to managers and employees in a timely manner to help them to be productive and engaged

Attract and retain people with the required competencies to meet demands. Prepare and monitor training plans for all managers and oversee team members before the start of a program. Provide direct team’s individual training requirements, performance assessment and developmental goals.

Ensure accurate time recording and approval for each manager and team member on a daily basis IAW Company guidelines.

Proactively confronts inappropriate behaviors in an effective way

Build strong relationships with strategic partners and key suppliers; works with Program Managers, Business Management and Operations Manager to plan for equipment replacement; prepare capital requests.

Work with Business Operations, Program Management, Quality, Material Operations, and Engineering to monitor contractual schedules, quality, workmanship, and technical performance of assigned work cell(s) following established procedures and schedules.

Solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources; consistently looking for novel ways to solve problems; mastering unfamiliar information, tasks and situations quickly and effectively

Develop Basis of Estimates using large amounts of data and deliver within the assigned deadlines.

Manage assigned labor hours from Project Forecasts and be able articulate variances with the Programs.

Participate with program and capture team on the preparation of new business basis of estimates.

Oversee PMEL & TMDE Program for depot-level repairs, production, and manufacturing.

Demonstrate personal integrity and high ethical standards in customer contacts as well as all internal relationships.

Clearly and frequently articulates the team’s role in achieving the goals of the organization.

You may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift.

You occasionally will be required to travel 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:
•High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of experience in production management or a supporting fiel
