About the role

Description

The Division of Rheumatology andImmunology (https://medicine.vumc.org/divisions/rheumatology-immunology) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, TN, has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified physician as a clinical rheumatologist for a position as an Instructor in Medicine. The candidate must have or expertise in providing care for patients with cardiac and rheumatologic disease, performing nailfold capillaroscopy and muscle biopsies to help urgent diagnosis and management recommendations.

The Division of Rheumatology andImmunology has a rich tradition of clinical, investigative, and training excellence. The Division has 30 faculty and over 40 staff members, who participate in a wide range of clinical programs and clinical and basic science research. We offer comprehensive clinical care for those with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases at the Vanderbilt University Hospital, the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Nashville General Hospital, and clinics in Davidson and surrounding counties. We also provide comprehensive in-patient consultation services.

Qualifications

The candidate will possess a strong clinical background in Rheumatology and Immunology, a MD degree, have completed fellowship training in Rheumatology and Immunology, and be board-certified/eligible and qualified for Tennessee State licensure.
