What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for an Operations Strategy Director to join our EAG team in El Paso, TX.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

The main role of the Operations Strategy Director of Emerging Automotive Group (EAG) is to reassess current manufacturing footprint and develop production operational plan to support the 1-170 growth strategy from the operations side. This role should not only define but take the lead in executing the changes required to make YII operations state of art. Ultimate target is to create a smooth handover to EAG’s Head of Operations to execute the strategy as envisioned. This position should also consider implementation of advanced automation technologies and define the long term strategic benefit of the manufacturing location, so that the plant would remain competitive with necessary support infrastructure (i.e. vocational training, stable workforce, government incentives, etc.) and would be in line with the regional municipal goals to meet the 1-170 targets.

 

• Develop and implement strategic plans
• Analyze existing processes
• Lead operational improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multiple teams
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Oversee Factory Automation
• Stay up to date with industry trends

 

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

• BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of or in addition to a degree.
• Minimum 10 years in operations and Operations Strategy
• Preferred: Direct experience in a strategy definition in comparable operations role and have successfully demonstrated results in executing the strategy.
