Summary:

As the Staff Field Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical application support to customers in North America, specifically focusing on integrating Qorvo's power management and motor control products into their product designs. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with sales teams, development engineers, and product application specialists to promote our products effectively and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop an extensive and in-depth knowledge of Qorvo's power management and SiC power device portfolio, providing world-class applications support to our customers.
• Offer technical guidance and applications support to customers during the evaluation and integration of our products, as well as providing support to internal sales personnel.
• Assist the sales and marketing teams in preparing technical proposals and delivering presentations to potential customers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their main technical point of contact and coordinating activities with the sales team.
• Review new product release packages for technical accuracy, completeness, and optimization opportunities.
• Conduct hands-on lab work to identify and resolve technical issues, optimize product performance on reference designs and customer end products.
• Utilize simulation tools to analyze and validate solutions.
• Be available for travel to customer sites for product training and on-site support.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in power management and motor control design and support.
• Strong background in the design and development of power management and motor control circuits.
• Excellent knowledge of power systems and the ability to ensure compliance with EMI and transient requirements.
• Proficiency in BLDC and PMSM motor control.
• Familiarity with utilizing power measurement equipment such as electronic loads, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, and spectrum analyzers.
• Thorough understanding of proper PCB layout techniques for high-power circuits.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with exceptional presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of successfully resolving customer technical issues and providing outstanding customer support.
• A collaborative team player with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
