The opportunity

You’ll provide expert level executive career coaching and consulting as a member of the EY Career Center team. The EY Career Center is a first of its kind, highly innovative collaboration of EY’s Talent and Markets organizations serving EY leaders and executive-level friends of the firm with career planning, exploration and navigation services. As an executive career coach, your clients will expect customized, best-in-class career coaching and consulting empowering them to discover their best future. As a team member, you’ll be part of a dynamic team of coaches, networking specialists as well as strategy and operations leaders who will look to you to lead and contribute to the strategic goals of the practice.  

 

Your key responsibilities  

You’ll be responsible for working both “in” and “on” the business. As an executive career coach/consultant, you will have a book of business comprised of highly tenured EY leaders as well as executive level friends of EY who are in career exploration/navigation. Your primary responsibility as a practitioner is to provide an exceptional coaching experience to your clients leveraging your expertise in career crossroads and transition coaching methodologies and tools. In collaboration with your team, you’ll also advance the strategic goals of the EY Career Center to accelerate the brand of coaching and the center as a key differentiator for EY. This includes developing thought leadership and initiatives, designing and executing on innovative offerings and utilizing systems thinking and organizational development skills to optimize business processes and navigate relationships with key stakeholders.

 

Skills and attributes for success  

  • Possesses deep knowledge in career coaching.
  • Adept at meeting the client where they are and customizing coaching and consulting approaches to align with the client’s goals.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively market and brand our practice internally and externally as well as position coaching clients for success.
  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in Talent (Career pillar) and Markets organizations to share best practices and team on approaches and offerings.
  • Ability to utilize large-scale systems thinking and organizational development skills to optimize business and change management processes that impact client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Maintain an external presence and promotes EY's reputation as a leader in coaching culture.
  • Is mindful of ROI measurements and suggests improvements to coaching processes and programs.
  • Maintain relationships with leaders and key stakeholders. Adept at communicating coaching themes; collaborates on best practices and seeks to understand and deliver on stakeholder needs.
  • At associate director level, is highly seasoned and recognized for their expertise within and outside the business unit. Is "at the table" with management and influences when key business issues are discussed affecting the development of their designated client group.
  • Receives general direction rather than supervision. Work is reviewed for results achieved.
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly leverage approved AI tools to improve process efficiency, support research, and enhance accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven experience facilitating engaging learning sessions, delivering content with clarity, encouraging active participation, guiding discussions, and adapting facilitation techniques to maximize learning impact.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a demonstrated commitment to supporting colleagues and contributing to shared team goals.
