Patient Service Representative - Centralized Scheduling

The Patient Services Representative, Centralized scheduling is responsible for scheduling initial evaluations for the correct discipline under the correct therapist specialty for 21 locations.  This position is to call 120-150 patients a day to schedule their initial evaluation for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or cardiac rehabilitation.  This position uploads all received referrals daily, around 200 referrals, filters through the correct information to schedule correctly, navigate locations and scheduling with patients, answer incoming calls, respond to voicemails, work with Physician Relations Managers and other misc tasks to correctly schedule patients and obtain all necessary information from referrals sources and patients.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's Degree from an accredited school or college. Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and/or a Certified Medical Assistant
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of medical office experience or have completed an externship with Healthlink in lieu of 2 years of medical experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years medical office experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Medical Assistant

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
