As part of our Global Controlling team, we are currently recruiting a Controlling Analyst, reporting to the Controlling Director and based in Bilbao, Spain. This role will interact with colleagues across all Sibelco locations and functions and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting and controlling processes on a global scale.
Your Impact in This Role:
As a Controlling Analyst, you will play a key role in financial performance monitoring, reporting, and business analysis. You will ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and process optimization, leveraging Power BI and other financial tools to provide valuable insights to stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Local Finance teams and Global Functions to enhance financial reporting and data flow.
Gain an in-depth understanding of market trends, operational challenges, and business needs.
Prepare standard and ad hoc reports, including variance analysis with accurate and insightful commentary.
Perform scenario analysis and financial modeling to support business decisions.
Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators such as sales, profitability, working capital, and production costs.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and standardized management reporting packs.
Assist in the annual budget and forecasting process, ensuring clear guidance and smooth execution.
Conduct analytical reviews of budgets and forecasts, challenging assumptions and identifying areas for improvement.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Between 3 - 5 years of experience in a controlling or financial analysis role, preferably in a large multinational organization.
Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles (GAAP & IFRS).
Experience in financial modeling, KPI analysis, and variance reporting.
Fluent English (verbal and written) – essential for communication with global teams.
Additional European languages are an asset.
