The Senior Associate Relations Professional coordinates employee relations programs to ensure compliance with policies and practices. The Senior Associate Relations Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Associate Relations Professional develops and implements policies and procedures, including grievance procedures and exit interviews. Researches and responds to employee questions, concerns and grievances. Maintains employee relations records. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Additional Information

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 +years conducting investigations, including those which are more complex and involve serious misconduct and/or behavioral issues
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing technology to access, enter, and manage data
  • 5 +years of Human resources and employee relations experience
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality while handling all business processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EEO laws (Federal, state, local) and their application to employment practices
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving customer experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare written communications, documentation, and reports based on the analysis of data and present findings to senior leaders, legal, and business partners
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and collaborate with business partners and stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple case volume/workload at different stages of the process, ability to multi-task meeting deadlines and goals, and ensure proper follow-up
  • Demonstrated team player and collaborator independently while working as a team
  • If selected for hire within proximity to the Humana office in Louisville, KY, this role is considered hybrid in office, twice per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SPHR/SCP Certification
  • Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or related area
  • Experience in Workday and ServiceNow

Work-At-Home Requirements:
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
•    At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
•    Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
•    Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
•    Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
•    Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
