FACILITY JANITORIAL

Overview

The Facility Technician cleans and sanitizes the office and break areas of the entire building. Maintains all custodial duties, supplies, and vendors. Will implement a high standard of cleanliness for the facility. Demonstrate teamwork and independent work, able to collaborate with others, follow instructions from your supervisor, and stay on task.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Responsible for floor care, performing various surface tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets of all office areas and employee break areas.
• Responsible for the maintenance of employee break tables, chairs, and counters, carrying out tasks such as dusting, spraying, and cleaning
• Responsible for removing trash in office areas and employee break areas.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing restrooms daily and maintaining bathroom supplies.
• Responsible for cleaning windows in all areas.
• Perform dusting, disinfecting, and polishing of surfaces and furniture as needed
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure they are stored properly.
• Maintain stock in Kitchen areas and other supplies as needed
• Responsible for reporting repairs and replacements encountered when executing daily tasks.
• Schedule and communicate with outside contractors for cleaning assignments.
• Responsible for working safely, cleanly, and ethically. Follow all plant PPE requirements, safety, and environmental rules and policies. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Education: A high school diploma or GED
• Experience: Prefer 2-3 years’ housekeeping experience working in a manufacturing environment.  Good problem solving, communication, and writing skills are needed. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
