What’s The Job? 

Title: Maintenance Tech  

Location: Paris, IL 
Salary:  Up to $25.00/hr. 
Hours: Monday – Friday (7am – 3:30pm)

What Will I Be Doing?  

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:  

• Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures. 
• Assigned tasks to include but not limited to the following areas: Grounds Maintenance, Snow/Ice Removal, Road/Parking Lot/Sidewalk Maintenance, Exterior Lighting/Signage and Equipment, Waste Management/Recycling, Fencing, Pest Control, Scale Services, Vending/Bottle and Coffee Service, Janitorial, Furniture Management/Repair, Mail and Conference Room Management, Emergency Services Management, Uniforms/PPE Management
• Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, repairs, and maintains building structures, systems, and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers’ specifications, or supervisor’s instructions, using hand and power tools, precision measuring or testing devices.
• Responsible for general maintenance as assigned including minor carpentry, repairs of furniture, doors, windows, plumbing, etc.leak stoppages in sanitary or storm drainage systems using plumber’s snake, vacuum, or manual plungers.
• Replaces defective bulbs in buildings or on the exterior areas of the plant.
• Performs minor inspection duties where directed.
• Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, vacuum truck and water jetting equipment, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand / power tools.
• Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment. Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.
• Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
• Works from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks
• Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job
