Personal Trainer
We are currently seeking the right person to join our health and fitness team as a Personal Trainer. At this time, we are seeking someone to work part time (25 hours per week average - no weekends or evenings), but there is the potential to go to full time if the employee is able to develop a full training roster and class schedule.

As a Personal Trainer, you will enrich lives each day by helping provide clients with motivation, education, guidance, and individual instruction that reflect the client's fitness ability and experience. You will conduct fitness consultations and assessments in order to help develop individualized fitness programs that ensure safety and follow each individual client's objectives. In additions, you will monitor form and provide feedback in order to prevent injury and maintain an open line of communication throughout the course of service. Group instruction classes may include classes geared specifically for certain diseases or disorders.

Our club is open to the public aged 50 and over, and has a highly developed program for members living with Parkinson's. We are looking for a trainer with experience working with a large variety of fitness levels in both group and one-on-one settings.

Ideal candidates will have:
• Current certification through a nationally accredited organization (such as ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE) is preferred
◦ Experience with Parkinson's strongly preferred
• A four-year college degree in an exercise science-related discipline
• A genuine interest in working with adults (age 40+) to help them achieve their physical fitness goals
• Experience instructing group exercise classes in the format their certification is in
• A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
• Experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations; experience in a retirement community setting is a plus
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or be willing to obtain upon hire
• Experience with balance training also a plus.
