The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Providing engineering leadership to the assigned areas of the Flemington, NJ manufacturing plant – establishing a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs

  • Leading projects and programs to improve safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and overall operational efficiency of the equipment, often using Lean Principles and Six Sigma Tools

  • Supporting Capital Investment, New Product Introduction, and New Technology Introductions to increase manufacturing capabilities

  • Efficiently troubleshooting defects and variation, performing root cause analysis, and applying systemic problem-solving skills and robust solutions

  • Proactively communicating at all levels of the organization to drive direction and positive change

  • Supporting a dynamic 24x5 operation through a willingness to be on-call

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND nine (9) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related Engineering field from an accredited university

  • Eight (8) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Vision System Experience

  • Web handling (roll-to-roll) process experience

  • Excellent mechanical and/or machine automation aptitude and problem-solving skills; practical and hands-on, with analytical comprehension and data driven decision making

  • Experience applying statistical tools and completing data analysis (e.g. SPC, MiniTab, Excel) in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience working in a Medical Device regulated manufacturing environment

Work location: Onsite (Flemington, NJ, USA)

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
