Description

The Associate Regional Business Manager (ARBM) will act as support within a Regional Business Managers territory. The ARBM will achieve success when client relationships are maintained with a high level of understanding, integrity, trust, and credibility that lead to long-term client retention. Lines of communication are kept open, clients are satisfied and their needs are fulfilled in a professional and timely manner.  Acting as the secondary point of contact between the company and Continental’s clients, the ARBM is the “go-to” person that provides direction, guidance, and expectations for the team that supports their clients.  The goal is to maximize the potential of the team to achieve results, anticipate client needs, and respond to those needs in a timely and professional manner, all while growing sales and meeting quality and service level standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Client Retention:  Support the RBM with building and maintaining client relationships that lead to long-term client retention.  Open lines of communication and deliver outstanding and comprehensive service. Visit accounts and implement changes based on feedback, suggestions or concerns. Inform Senior Regional Business Manager of information beneficial for account retention and/or that could jeopardize business.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform inspections on machines and equipment to ensure company standards are met.  Ensure the proper handling of perishable food items, along with compliance for cleanliness, merchandising, plan-o-gram integrity, and company policies. Reviews service frequencies to maximum sales without jeopardizing customer satisfaction; schedule routes to improve productivity. 
  • Business Development:In partnership with the RBM meet predetermined objectives for revenue, Labor, and ROA. Coordinate installations, merchandising, and promotional activities in new and existing accounts. Gather customer intelligence and translate into strategies for business growth and retention.  Analyze financial reports to determine profitability and opportunities to increase revenue with proper merchandising, product introduction, and promotional activities. 
  • Team Management:  Clearly define, communicate, and appraise expectations, work results and standard operating procedures.  Actively remove obstacles and assist individuals in maximizing their potential.  Interview, select, train and support team members with the goal of developing new leaders. Maintain a safe, positive and professional work environment.  Handle discipline and behavior management needs.  Step in as a working manager, leading by example. Plan, organize, and delegate responsibility to ensure objectives are met on a daily basis.  Staff each route to ensure responsibilities are completed in an effective, timely and efficient manner. Oversee operational timelines and monitor work hours to meet agreed upon labor targets.  Stay current and abide by all parts of collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Two or more years in food service and/or route management preferred. 
  • Prior sales experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Willingness to operate company fleet.
  • Experience in a route based business strongly preferred.
