Under supervision, the Culinary Worker CTE PT GR aids in food preparation and customer service within a student-led restaurant. This role includes preparing food to meet daily requirements, managing the counter area for food sales and service, and upholding high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices. The position supports the Culinary Enterprise Manager and fosters an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.

Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing ingredients, cooking, and assembling dishes according to standardized recipes and planned menus
- Delivers a high-quality service experience to all customers by fostering a welcoming atmosphere, addressing inquiries, and effectively processing orders
- Accurately handles customer payments to ensure timely service
- Collaborates closely with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and effective communication
- Ensures proper storage and care of food items and supplies
- Maintains clean and organized areas and sanitary work conditions
- Demonstrates knowledge of use and care of equipment

- High School diploma or GED
- Texas Food Handler's Certificate Must obtain within 14 days of employment
- Minimum of 1 year Food Service and Preparation
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work with students and staff cooperatively
- Ability to speak, read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English
- Basic math skills, computer skills, and ability to work with currency in a quick and accurate manner

- Frequent manual dexterity is required to perform lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling tasks described previously, in addition to preparing food dishes with or without utensils, adjusting thermostats on ovens and grills, washing pots and pans, and cleaning, wiping counters, sweeping, and mopping.
