Opportunity Snapshot:

This role will work within cross-functional Agile teams to support current systems and to develop of new features and enhancements for various Bupa Digital systems. The position is responsible for participating in all phases of the frontend development lifecycle—including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment—and collaborating closely with product owners, business analysts, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences. • This role will also focus on building and maintaining visually engaging, user-friendly, and high performance web applications, leveraging modern frontend technologies. In addition, the role also contributes to development efforts on .NET Core applications hosted in Azure

 

Your Contribution:

Frontend Development

• Build responsive, accessible web apps using ReactJS, NextJS, and TypeScript.
• Create reusable UI components with HTML5, CSS3, and styled-components.
• Optimize performance and implement automated UI tests (e.g., Playwright).

Backend & Full-Stack Contribution

• Support backend development with .NET Core APIs and integrations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Code Quality & Maintenance

• Maintain code quality with Git, Jest, React Testing Library, and modern build tools.
• Perform regular site maintenance and troubleshooting.

Agile Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, pair programming, and code reviews.
• Continuously improve workflows and adopt emerging technologies.

Team & Stakeholder Engagement

• Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations.

 

Qualifications and training 

• 6+ years Front End Development experience including at least two years with React and Typescript 
•  Solid understanding of Web Development fundamentals including semantic HTML, JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS/SCSS 
•  2+ years in API and integration 
•  Evidence in the successful delivery of .Net core API, hence undertaking system analysis, solution (functional & Technical) design and feasibility activities. 
• Cross-browser compatibility experience with all major browsers, operating systems and device types 
•  Understanding of accessibility and experience developing to the AA level 
•  Experience working with and coaching junior staff 
•  Knowledge of CSS-in-JS libraries such as Emotion, Styled components 
•  Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest and React Testing Library Working experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Rollup, etc.
