The Department
The Oceanography undergraduate program at Cal Poly Humboldt is one of only two programs in California leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography. At Cal Poly Humboldt, our students learn by doing. We have both a fully-equipped marine lab and a true oceanic research vessel, the R/V Coral Sea, which is dedicated to undergraduate classes and research. Our students also get a broad foundation in mathematics, biology, chemistry, geology, and physics, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
