Sr Director - Infrastructure Growth Management

The Sr Director of Infrastructure Growth Management will be responsible to oversee DC Site Design Planning, Warehouse planning, and Network Capacity Planning for all OCI capacity growth projects globally. This role is responsible to forecast capacity utilization, initiate capacity growth projects, prioritize these projects for delivery, and ensure there is clear and actionable plan for how we deploy necessary growth projects. This role will also oversee the inventory strategy for OCI’s finished goods warehouse. A successful leader in this role will drive clarity of ownership, clear strategic rulesets of how/where we design capacity, and drive high volume throughput from the team.
This role will report to the VP of Infrastructure Capacity and will lead a team responsible for:
- Generating specific site plans and power allocation plans for new and expanding data centers
- Working closely with demand planning team to ensure site and network plans meets both the customer and business goals
- Convert server demand plan into a site specific plan and a network capacity plan to support traffic generated from server demand
- Make strategic rack and materials ordering decisions
- Generate actionable and executable plans for data center design and delivery
- Communicate supply risks back to Demand Planning team to assess impact and make tradeoffs
- Automate entire Growth Management process as much as possible
- Aggregate all signal components to create a single picture of risks and opportunities and enable straightforward decision making
- Partner with supply chain teams to streamline hardware planning & signaling process
- Make strategic recommendations of new DC investments based on input from DC sourcing, DC engineering, and Network Planning teams
- Build team of data scientists to improve forecast modeling and enable data driven decision making
- Leading an organization of 35-45 team members, and recruiting SMEs in the industry as the team grows
Qualifications
- 10-15 years in cloud/hyperscale networking or data center capacity planning
- 10-15 years experience leading teams of managers and senior ICs
- Ability to communicate information to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to tight deadlines and often shifting priorities
- Ability to work cross functionally with sourcing, engineering, Optical Engineering, Finance, etc and gain buy in to achieve a common goal

US: Hiring Range: from $131,700 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
