Applicants with previous agricultural or <b>production experience will be considered preferred.  </b>Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.</p><p><b>Requirements: </b>Must have at <b>least 12 months</b> of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.</p><p><b>Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.</b></p><p><b>Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.</b></p><p></p><p>Company: Cobb</p><p></p><p><b>Location: Pocomoke Farms, Pocomoke, MD</b></p><p><b>Schedule:</b>  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including holidays</p><p><b>Hours:</b> 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Typically this position generally averages 40 hours a week. </p><p>Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.   Starting pay $18.00/hr</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><ul><li>This position is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting poultry houses; removing used litter from poultry houses; assisting with bird movement as needed; placing new shavings in poultry houses; bush hogging and/or mowing around poultry houses; maintaining and cleaning farm equipment.</li></ul><p><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Candidate must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screen.</li><li>Must be able to communicate in oral, written and comprehensive form. Production/Receiving reports must be completed accurately and handwritten legibly.</li><li>Must use safe lifting techniques, Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.</li></ul><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b>:</p><ul><li>Remove used litter from houses; clean and disinfect poultry houses and all equipment (including vehicles/tractors) utilizing commercial pressure washer on wet/slick floor; place new shavings in houses following cleaning (55%)</li><li>Move birds as required to feed conversion houses, growing houses, laying houses or live haul loading area (10%)</li><li>Repairs and maintains tractors, pressure washers, litter truck, trailers, and mechanical equipment (10%)</li><li>Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: Repairs cages, pens, equipment and buildings or fenced yards;  repairs pens, or equipment (feeders, waterers, lights, fans, etc.); farm cleanup such as garbage/litter retrieval; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy  (10%)</li><li>Performs simple math [addition, subtraction, multiplication and division] as part of recording information according to instructions and Cobb (15%)</li></ul><p><b>Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements</b>:</p><ul><li>The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility.  Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company.  No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropr
