The Team:

You will be a Software Engineer and part of the S&P Global Rating Core Services Engineering Team. This team has a broad and expert knowledge on delivering Ratings platforms and frameworks to our technology division. The team has a diverse experience in technology stacks and architectural patterns, fosters knowledge sharing and collaboration that results in a unified strategy. You will be a part of a unique opportunity to build and evolve S&P Ratings next generation technology stacks.

Responsibilities and Impact:

S&P Global Ratings is looking for an Engineer to join the Core Services Engineering team within Ratings Technology, a team of technology professionals who define and execute the Core Services roadmap for S&P Global Ratings. The successful candidate will participate in the design and build of S&P Ratings cloud based platforms and frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on coding: Java/J2EE, Spring boot, JavaScript, React, Webpack.
• experience on HTML5, Typescript, CSS.
• Experience in writing reusable components.
• Experience in writing any unit testcase framework.
• Ability to learn and start working on any new technologies.
• Experience in Developing applications in support of evolving business needs using JAVA – J2EE, Micro Services, Micro front end(MFE) and React.
• Experience in Oracle, Mango DB, Maven, Jenkins, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTFUL services,
• Contribute to and support S&P enterprise architecture, standards, transformation from current state to future state.
• Develop agile practices with continuous development, continuous integration & deployments, cloud enablement.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering.
• 1-2 years full stack development experience in modern web development technologies, Java/J2EE, Spring boot.
• Experience in creating REST/ OData service.
• Experience in writing JavaScript application using React/Typescript.
• Able to work well individually and with a team.
• Good debugging and Problem-solving skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Nice to have knowledge in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, waterfall.
• Good work ethic, self-starter, and results oriented.
