University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Exempt, Full Time, Benefitted position through 6/27/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 

Salary: $6,000.00-$7,250.00 per month.

Location: On site. CSRI San Bernardino Center.

Work Schedule

Exempt. 40 hours per week. Typically 8:15am- 4:45pm, Monday-Friday (with some evenings and Saturdays required).

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Associate Director of Operations, the Center Manager will work independently to:

Center Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring the center is organized, safe, and compliant with regulations.
  • Manage center schedules, resources, and supplies to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Address operational challenges and coordinate solutions with the Associate Director of Operations.
Staff Supervision and Support
  • Supervise and support center staff, including caseworkers, security, job developer, and other personnel.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, provide updates, and align staff with center goals.
Center Manager
  • Facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities.
  • Evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvement plans when necessary.
Program Coordination
  • Ensure effective implementation of reentry programs and services, including case management, workshops, and training.
  • Monitor participant progress and outcomes, providing reports to the Associate Director of Operations.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Operations to ensure programs meet all legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
Participant Services
  • Act as an escalation point for participant issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and foster a welcoming environment for all clients.
  • Ensure data collection and reporting align with organizational and grant requirements.
Community Engagement and Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with local service providers, community organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the center at community meetings, events, and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Operations to coordinate volunteer and partnership initiatives.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate records of participant activity, staff schedules, and program outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports on center performance to leadership.
  • Assist with budget management and ensure proper allocation of resources.
Health, Safety, and Facility Management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure a safe and functional environment
Some travel between CSRI sites and community events will be required using their personal means of transportation (with reimbursement provided after the fact).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business/ Public Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, social services, or operations.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar setting.
    • Additional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year to year basis.
  • Other:
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
