Our company is seeking a Team Leader who relieves the Department Manager of some responsibilities by managing the day-to-day planning, operation, and problem solving of a group. Guides a group of employees through completion of projects. Delegates the individual components of a project to team members, including themselves. Work with team members to help solve any conflicts that arise with a project. Train team members using own knowledge or knowledge of others. Develop and motivate team members to succeed at everyday tasks.

The Team leader serves as to go to person for internal team members. Team Leaders should be able to interpret information and instruction from external clients and guide team members to plan, engineer, and execute the fulfillment of customer orders following all internal SOP’s. Should also be able to direct team members on where to go to find answers from internal departments and external client departments and vendors (including client vendors). Helps department managers with evaluation of team members.

JOB DUTIES:

• Helps supervise team members along with department manager.
• Help team members develop project plans and milestones, including schedules.
• Assist with determination of resources required.
• Assist with understanding and communicating overall project objectives.
• Help define the role and function of each team member.
• Assist with status updates to all project stakeholders/departments.
• Involvement with reviewing customer designs
• Assist with issue investigation and resolution.
• Promote and support quality control and customer initiatives.
• Assist with SG360 technology systems. 
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

JOB SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) a plus.
• Leadership, relationship building, sense of urgency, teamwork, written and verbal communications.
• Must have above average verbal/phone and written/email communication skills in English. 
• Must also possess solid math, typing, and computer skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 
• Must have ability to use measuring and office equipment, as required by the position.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Understanding of printing processes, in line finishing, and pre-press and bindery operations. 
• Understands USPS regulations.

EDUCATION:

College degree in business or graphic arts management preferred. 

EXPERIENCE:

• Five to eight years of experience in Inline/ Sheet Fed printing processes is required, preferably in a project management capacity. 
• Experience in mail, prepress and/or bindery operations very helpful.
