Overall purpose of Job :  
1.    Overall responsibility for delivering Capex spend, Costs and Compliance controls at the plant as well as working with the project office team. 
2.    Improving Cost efficiencies and effectiveness, Total Cost Management and Cost Control, 
3.    Responsible for Plant Budgeting and Reporting 
4.    Leveraging best practices across plants and driving global/company initiatives to the location 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1.    Overall responsibility for delivering Capex spend, Costs and Compliance controls at the plant as well as working with the project office team.

• Responsible for review of Capital expenditure spending with the budget.
• Review open PO and GRIRs and follow up with concerned functions for timely closure
• Controlling plant overheads. To track plant performances on a regular basis and drive attention to key performance indicator.
• Determine and maintain all accounting principles and processes and ensure compliance with regulations including internal company policies.
• Ensuring capex compliances related to Performance guarantees, agreements etc.

2.    Ensuring Commercial Control at the factory location

• Ensuring high standards of commercial controls through systemic reviews.
• Upgrade control mechanisms / review systems to eliminate / reduce surprises.
• Standardization of controls through best practice sharing and cross learning’s.
• Improve Commercial effectiveness across plants.
• Ensuring timely closures month on month for plant locations as well as 3P/2P.
• Ensuring smooth closings Qtr on Qtr for plant locations as well as 3P.
• Implementations of various recommendations in audits / findings.
• Implementation of COSO 2013 and internal controls framework.
• Improve Governance, Risk Management and Controls and compliance across all plant locations.
• Ensuring action on the Monthly Reporting's on exceptions in terms open items, Master updating, Debtors/ Creditors, Idle assets etc.

3.    Strengthening Compliances for the locations.

• Ensuring commercial compliance wrt statutory & legal requirement across locations.
• Proactive and reactive support on likely risk areas wrt statutory issues.
• Co-ordination of commercial compliance across plants.
• Co-ordination of Statutory & legal compliance across plants
• Ensuring statutory, legal and commercial compliances at various 3P locations.
• Facilitating of Legal audits, statutory audits, insurance audits , internal audits .
• Ensuring implementation and closure of the audit findings.
• Conducting and closure of points in the Internal Quality Index audit across plants 

4.    Budgeting and Budgetary Controls

• Ensuring comprehensive budgeting for the factory cost.
• Expense monitoring and control through effective controls against budgets.
• Total Cost Management
• Identify and Drive (Total Cost Management) TCM initiatives across plants.
• Undertaking process costing and instituting cost control measures entailing study of every element that contributes to the cost of Refined Oil, Vanaspati & Bakery products.
