The Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer is instrumental in ensuring Peloton cyber operation requirements of maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting enterprise SaaS applications, identity, network email & endpoint security services and systems are implemented and secured with industry best practices. The candidate is an expert in the area of technical analysis, design and operations. The candidate will help the cyber defense team in the gathering of artifacts and hardening configurations through or post cyber incidents. 

Reporting directly to the Cybersecurity Principal Architect, the candidate will work with multiple and diverse teams across Peloton including, but not limited to Product, Platform, and Ecommerce Engineering, Legal, Enterprise IT Operations and Security Response. They will coordinate the actions of each and ensure collectively we are working as “one Peloton” to protect our customers and the company. 

The role plays a critical function in constantly evolving Peloton’s security penetration testing and security review capabilities, ensuring the underlying data related to security defects is used to constantly improve the security of Pelotons products and services. 

The ideal candidate is a proven engineering leader that has both exemplary engineering and communication skills. They have extensive experience collaborating with internal engineering partners. They are a proven security technology and methodology expert that scales through enabling other engineering partners to make the right security design decisions and trade-offs. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Cyber Security Operations Engineers work on all systems and/or projects within the organization responsible for providing maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting support for Network Defense tools, appliances and endpoint products.
  • Manage anti-virus, security monitoring and incident response activities and tasks that include email security, DLP, identity solutions, SIEM, and other security related tools.
  • Manage the Centralized Patch and Vulnerability Management.
  • Manage the Web Filtering operations through web application firewalls, content distribution solutions etc
  • Two factor authentication, SSL cert and PKI management.
  • Configure test beds and conduct testing, record and analyze results, and provide recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Including emerging technologies and future trends
  • Provide weekly status reports, SOP's and Project documentation.
  • Outcome driven application to cyber incident follow-ups that require remediation from cross-functional teams especially with time-sensitive & mission critical break-fix type of work. • Ability to be on-call for coverage and support of cyber systems.
  • Ability to operate efficiently with Technology Operations and Platform Engineering teams
  • Good grasp on public cloud computing PaaS & SaaS services within AWS.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 10 years or more of work experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
  • Proficiency with network security, remote access, identity solutions and endpoint products.
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools such as JAMF, Workspace One etc
  • Ability to operate with JIRA and troubleshoot, configure & deploy systems & solutions including maintenance & follow-up with vendors.
  • Ability to chase down and gather information as it pertains to incident investigations such as logging, device state snapshots etc
  • Proficiency in creating reports and metrics and an ability to own issues with an intent to improve cyber risk posture
  • Excellent communications and self-driven
  • Experience with Cyber defense tooling such as SIEM, loggers & familiarity with public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
