Job Details
The Senior Director Health System Patient Access is responsible for product and program management of a portfolio of patient access and affordability solutions that create new sources of income. The role is responsible for driving innovation and commercialization of products that enable growth for Cencora and its health system customers. This role works closely with commercial business unit leaders to ensure alignment, execution and adoption of solutions and initiatives.
This role is United States remote and within all 50 states.
- Has ownership for solution development of a portfolio of complex, high impact products (one or more) and commercialization of new offerings that meet customer needs while creating new sources of income for Cencora, and achieving goals set for new income sources.
- Ensures solution ‘builds’ are in alignment with overall business and Cencora strategy.
- Leads collaboration with broader Solution team to discover new solutions, novel approaches to existing problems, formulating effective new ideas and innovative processes for product development, marketing, branding, etc.
- Continuously evaluates ideas within the Innovation process, quantifying market demand, defining opportunities and identifying product/market fit for Cencora.
- Responsible for financial performance of assigned products, including business case development and overall P&L management. Define and track success metrics through Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Keeps all new projects in line with the company’s purpose and maintains consistency with the company’s message and brand.
- Within their solutions portfolio, follows customer responses to new ideas, tracks and analyzes the success of new programs, and adapts according to customer adoption.
- Leads teams that execute and support products in assigned portfolio, both through direct management and cross-functional leadership.
- Within their solutions portfolio, monitors research and development of other organizations to spot trends in innovation and supplement research findings in the company’s industry. Uses this data to educate sales, adjust strategy, and support Cencora’s ability to win.
- Evaluates opportunities to buy, build or partner with other organizations to accelerate growth and amplify Cencora’s unique value in the market.
- Develops go-to-market strategy, value proposition and messaging, partnering with commercial partners (marketing, communications, sales, commercialization) to make Cencora a market leader in given solution space.
- Provides feedback to leadership on the progress of innovation and recommends adjustments to the pace or direction of new projects as needed.
- Must be located near a major airport and ability to travel up to 50%.

Education:
- Bachelors degree required, advanced degree highly preferred, such as MBA, MHA, MS, PharmD, RN,
- 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience
- Strong understanding of the strategic execution of patient access and affordability programs within health systems
- The following are not required but are a “plus” for candidates
- Health system-based specialty / retail pharmacy experience
- Health system infusion pharmacy experience
- Product management training and / or experience
- MBA or advanced business degree
- Lean six-sigma or similar process improvement certification
- Located near a major airport and ability to travel up to 50%
