Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a part-time Military Ops Analyst to support the Joint Staff J6. The J6 provides expertise in support of the Chairman’s core responsibilities in advancing C4/Cyber across all domains to enable a globally integrated Combined/Joint Force and advocates for the integration, modernization, and innovation of C4/Cyber capabilities for the Combined/Joint Force. This role will be for part-time employment and travel is entailed. 

The successful candidate will serve in the Joint Fires Integration Division for the Joint Staff, Deputy Directorate South for Cyber, Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (DDS C5I) of the Joint Staff as a Military Program Analyst. The candidate will support the Combat Identification – Friendly Force Tracking Branch Chief and the Demonstrations Branch (Bold Quest (BQ)) Operational Manager to manage resources, priorities, and activities to ensure execution and completion of tasks consistent with Directorate goals and objectives. Significant knowledge in the application of Joint Fire Support with an emphasis on C2 is vital for this role. This expertise specifically includes air, ground, and maritime fires; operational and tactical pictures; Joint, Service and Coalition variants of C2 systems; and combined Joint digital messaging systems to establish Joint and Combined interoperability.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of analysis and assessments in support of Friendly Force Tracking capability improvements.
• Participate in functions to guide and assess the Friendly Force Tracking (FFT) Section and the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) process to influence requirements, procurement, and resourcing investment decisions relative to FFT capabilities.
• Work closely with counterparts representing the U.S. Services, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Agencies, the Joint Staff, NATO, Partner Nations, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The projects involve support across the United States including exercises, coordination, meetings, and operations to include extensive work with U.S. allies, NATO, and Allied Command Transformation (ACT).
• Provide program managerial functions, and engagement oversight of key initiatives in the FFT Section, to include planning and participation in program tasks, applying problem solving methods, assisting in balancing workloads, and monitoring progress and completion of assigned work.
• Assist the Combat Identification Branch lead for Secretariat duties and actions in accordance with Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) direction and oversight fr
