Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Editing footage into short and long-form videos (this may include social media reels, podcast episodes, long-form YouTube videos, or event highlights.)

  • Transcribing and creating closed captions for any short and long-form content.

  • Assisting the video production coordinator in filming interviews, b-roll, or any video content related to the School of Communication.

  • Assisting with location scouting, scheduling, and organizing shoot logistics in addition to helping with the set-up of equipment and ensuring all necessary gear is available and in working order.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-Time.

  • 10 hours per week dedicated to assisting the Video Production Coordinator

  • The number of hours worked each week may vary depending on scheduling.

Salary Range:

  • $17.50 per hour. ​ 

 

Required Education and Experience:  

  • Familiarity with non-linear editing, Adobe Premiere Pro, CANVA, Familiarity with Sony cameras  

  

Preferred Education and Experience:   

  • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects.
