You will join our Ramboll Environment & Health department
As one of our new Senior Managers or Project Officers, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team in the Americas, engaging with other business and technical professionals. You will work with all levels of technical expertise, from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. You will engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on the job tasks.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
· Serve as Project Office/Owner, functioning as a leader in the delivery of multi-disciplinary remediation, sustainability, and resiliency projects within Ramboll Environment and Health;
• Provide strategic, technical and financial oversight/guidance to Account Managers / Project Managers in accordance with Ramboll’s Project Model;
• Support client/project teams through strategy, mentorship and direct participation in internal communications and client interactions, and large proposals/strategic pursuits;
• Provide technical and risk review of proposals and key project deliverables;
• Ensure involvement of subject matter experts in projects to facilitate technology transfer, technical reviews and sharing of lessons learned;
• Ensure that project teams manage budgets, project staff, subcontractors, task schedules, change orders, and project risks (quality and revenue recognition), invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and budgeted project revenue and profitability;
• Look to digitize and innovate around our project deliverables and challenge current practices. Find opportunities for continual improvement in our business processes;
• Ensure that teams manage project conformance with respect to quality and safety guidelines as specified in the Project Model;
• Conduct client check in calls to assess project performance, potential project concerns and potential new opportunities;
• Anticipate clients’ needs and motivate or influence teams to deliver client service excellence; and
• Achieve positive client feedback as determined by project closeout and client satisfaction surveys.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Science, engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues and 15+ years of diversified experience, primarily within environmental consulting/engineering/management.
• Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer and/or other relevant licensing or certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities
• Externally recognized subject matter expert in field of technical expertise
• Demonstrated successful track record in market assessment, client development/delivery and business development/sales
• Ability to lead teams and create followership.
• Technical expertise in the areas of climate change, regulatory and compliance, and sustainability
• Experience one or more of the following industry sectors: Oil & Gas, power/electric generation and transmission, mining, chemical & manufacturing
• Quantitative skills associated with modeling and analytical computation
• Ability to collaboratively interface with other leaders across Ramboll including project and business development teams, and critical support services such as Finance, Legal, Marketing, IT and HR to achieve strategic objectives.
