Compensation includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Sr. Automotive Services Training Manager will be responsible for delivering industry-leading technician training for Manheim and select DFS light duty technicians. This role is responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for our technicians, with the ability to develop and drive key strategic initiatives around efficiencies, client engagement/success, and overall training effectiveness. Responsible for developing and rolling out processes and procedures to continue to drive engagement through diverse avenues, ensuring those processes are communicated and institutionalized across the team. This role is also responsible for the development of a training team.
- Develop training strategies, policies, and programs to support business goals and initiatives.
- Lead the training team by providing direction, key objectives, and measurable performance goals.
- Consult with business leaders, to assess tech training needs and deliver development initiatives that improve performance and that drive business results.
- Direct the implementation of training curriculum standards and guidelines, as well as policies and procedures related to various training and educational programs for the associates.
- Ensure training programs support the changing needs of the recon business and industry.
- Translate desired organizational culture into training mechanisms.
- Communicate training department performance against goals and objectives.
- Prepare training budgets and send them for approval; manage implemented training budget.
- Responsible for the development of the department, including succession planning, coaching, and developing of training team.
- Build and maintain business relationships with key business partners within the organization.
- Problem-solving; effectively plan, organize, delegate, and follow through to successful resolution.
- Identify training objectives and select appropriate instructional methodologies and procedures such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, presentations, and computer-based training.
- Formulate training policies, programs, and schedules, based on identified training needs, auction production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
- Research, design, or purchase training programs and media, organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Evaluate training and development effectiveness by monitoring trainees and assessing the application of learning to their job performance, maintaining records, and preparing statistical reports. Evaluate the performance of instructors.

Required Experience & Specialized Knowledge and skills
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of progressive management experience in a professional services, training, or automotive workplace.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience
- Ability to travel extensively across the US as needed
- Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to thrive under the pressure of a fast-paced organization.
