Job Description:

   

Aruba Threat Labs is the Product Security Incidence and Response Team (PSIRT) for HPE Aruba Networking. We are seeking an

product security engineer who is passionate about Information Security and who is excited by the prospect of finding, eliminating

and ultimately preventing security vulnerabilities in HPE Aruba Networking products.

Responsibilities:

The Product Security Engineer is responsible for assisting Aruba Threat Labs with all operational-related responsibilities: HPE Aruba

Networking Product SIRT, Bug Bounty Program, Product Security Advisory Publishing as well as performing Threat Research and Security

Assessments against HPE Aruba Networking products.

Requirements

• Be passionate about Information Security and/ or Hacking

• 1+ years of experience in product security, security consulting, penetration testing or equivalent internship experience

• Understanding of wired and wireless networking

• Understanding of principles of Authentication, Authorization and Accounting services

• Understanding of principles of at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS and Azure preferred)

• Understanding of how a vulnerability might (or might not) affect a system target

Knowledge of attack techniques such as buffer overflows, XSS, XXE, CSRF, SQL and command injections. Familiarity with the

vulnerability categories described in the OWASP Top 10.

• Basic knowledge of cryptography and security protocols such as TLS and IPsec

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Ability to work unsupervised with a geographically distributed team

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience in Information Security

Additional Desired Skills:

• OSCP, OSWP, OSWE, GPEN, GPWAPT, GCPN Certifications or Equivalent

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Architect or equivalent

• Understanding of DevOps tools and techniques (k8s, container technologies, CI/CD pipelines)

• Ability to read C, Python, PHP, Go or Java programing languages and the ability to script

• Hardware Hacking

• Hands-on Reverse Engineering

• Management of Bug Bounty Program

• Writing and Publishing Security Advisories or other customer facing documents

• Involvement with the Security/ Hacking Communities
