This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida

 

Position Summary:

 

Royal Caribbean Group is evolving into a leading vacation company, requiring continued focus on the future profile and growth of the company. As a key member of the leadership team, the Sr. Director Brand Program Excellence will coordinate key initiatives across multiple departments in the brand to enhance strategic direction and priorities and improve operational and financial performance. The Director will shape the future of the brand by driving change, innovation, integration, and driving growth strategies, acting as a partner to the Brand President to navigate and accelerate change. This position will help to manage a portfolio of initiatives, identify resources, and guide the organization on future opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate intellectual curiosity, superior analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and proven ability to lead collaboration among teams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Serves as a key partner to the Brand President to drive key initiatives, including establishing the appropriate structure and governance for program management, change management, coordination of the collaboration across multiple teams and communication.
  • Orchestrate transformation efforts with a holistic and enterprise-wide approach, shaping the portfolio of initiatives and ambitions.
  • Advise and align the executive team on the shared ambition and what the transformational programs will involve, while identifying, prioritizing, and facilitating the allocation of resources, people, and time devoted to the highest-value initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational and financial performance, including cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
  • Communicate progress and results to key stakeholders, including the Brand President and executive team while working closely with other functions within the Royal Caribbean Group to ensure transformation initiatives align with overall company goals.
  • Be a master communicator, providing encouragement and inspiration, celebrating progress and victories, and injecting energy and confidence into the organization, while remaining persistent about staying in sync with the organization's leaders on the program's purpose, targets, and approach.
  • Possess ample supply of cognitive, emotional, political, and moral intelligence and resilience, while maintaining hypervigilance about uncovering deficits and complexities that could undermine progress.
  • Present verbal and written recommendations and lead discussions with all levels of management, including C-level executives, Celebrity leadership and other key stakeholders

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Project Management or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience in leading strategic initiatives, business planning, or related roles, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
  • A cross-functional background and have seen a variety of different business situations and challenges during their career.
  • Must not only be a good problem solver and business leader, but they must also have high emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills for complex problems, with ability to create structured quantitative and qualitative analyses for a large-scale company and deliver insight and integrated solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex transformation initiatives, including cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
  • Project management experience, providing strategic leadership for multiple programs simultaneously in a cross-functional business.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to critically think about the future; creative and “out of the box” thinking that drives innovation.
  • Experience working in a global organization, with an understanding of cultural differences and the ability to work effectively across cultures. Works collaboratively to build consensus while also delivering exceptional results.
