Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

The AP Specialist is responsible for all accounts payable functions for the company, including but not limited to processing invoices, obtaining approvals, issuing checks/ACH/wires, reconciling vendor statements, and monthly AP accrual. Generally, support the Accounting department and assist in accurate and timely financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage accounts payable using Sage Intacct and other programs, including Stampli

· Handle accounts payable for separate entities for a multi-site healthcare organization

· Create an AP workflow that is efficient while ensuring all invoices go through the proper review and approval steps by automating and streamlining processes

· Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors

· Code invoices to specific GL, location, and department codes with a high degree of accuracy

· Process invoices in a timely manner and work with management to determine release of payments

· Support the accounting team with the month end close process, such as monthly AP accrual

. Assist in the daily deposits of checks

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

· Associates Degree in Accounting or other related field and/or relevant years experience in the Accounts Payable field

· 3-5 years in accounts payable, multi-site healthcare organization experience preferred

· Basic understanding of accounts payable process and general accounting knowledge

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

· Experience with Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based accounting software
