The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager who will oversee key aspects of the general ledger, coordinate the close cycle, and drive process improvements and efficiencies by harnessing the existing team and software with an eye for additional tools and controls for a best-in-class accounting organization. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Accounting, and manage a team of accountants and accounting manager. In addition, they will work closely with FPA, HR, Business Systems cross functionally, as well as the Revenue Accounting, Tax, Technical and Operational accounting teams. Successful candidates will bring a passion for relationship building across the company to complement their deep knowledge of GAAP, team leadership and adaptability in fast pace environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting flux analyses. Enhance the current close reporting for a revamped format in 2026.

  • Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.

  • Manage the implementation of new tools if and when adopted by the company and continued optimization of NetSuite (and related system integrations) to drive automation and efficiency.

  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Partner with the Technical Accounting team to implement and operationalize any new accounting standards and maintain compliance and audit-ready reporting around existing technical guidance applicable to the organization. Review existing and forthcoming technical memos to drive GL team performance in lock-step with the requirements and conclusions of each.

  • Coordinate with accounting providers for the Finland subsidiary, intercompany billing and statutory audit requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure accounting is a visible and timely partner in the decision-making process and leverage these relationships to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Lead and mentor accounting members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement. Cross-train team members to build depth and coverage across all accounting functions.

  • Generate and review audit-ready workpapers and serve as key point of contact in external audits.

  • Help drive the evolution of accounting systems and processes to support rapid growth.

  • Lead or support special projects, including implementation of process automations and AI tools to scale operations efficiently.

  • Build scalable processes and controls that support audit readiness and future SOX compliance.

The Skillset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and accounting leadership

  • People management experience

  • Expertise in NetSuite, FloQast, P2P systems with implementation experience strongly preferred

  • Exposure to additional tools such as asset modules, CRMs, Commission Tools, Workiva and Gaapify

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and problem solving within financial datasets

  • Relationship management among
