About the Role

As a Licensed Addiction Counselor at Heartview Foundation, you will be an essential part of our patient care team, delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment to individuals navigating substance use challenges. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment plans, guide patients through each stage of recovery, and foster a supportive environment where healing can flourish.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead individual and group counseling sessions customized to meet each patient’s needs
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
• Use evidence-based methods, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and harm reduction strategies, to support recovery
• Collaborate with healthcare and behavioral health professionals to ensure seamless, high-quality care
• Cultivate an inclusive environment that respects and values each individual’s unique background and life experience

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking compassionate professionals who bring both expertise and empathy to their work. Ideal candidates will have:

• Active North Dakota Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) license
• Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling
• Previous experience providing addiction counseling or substance use treatment (preferred)
• A solid foundation in assessments, individual and group therapy, and evidence-based approaches like MAT and harm reduction
• Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and work collaboratively within a team

• Successful completion of a background check
• Willingness to adhere to drug-free workplace policies, including pre-employment screening
