ManTech is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our organization and grow their career. The successful candidate will act as primary liaison between agency and contracted companies, anticipate and communicate future needs to leadership to ensure mission critical capabilities are maintained.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work as part of a Cyber Security team responsible for the building, securing, and monitoring of multiple classified and unclassified cloud environments for a government customer.
- Help architect, design, and implement solutions for security products such as Splunk, ACAS/Tenable, McAfee, GuardDuty, etc.
- Operate Splunk components and maintain functionality, to include: clustered environments, forwarder configuration, installing standard configuration files, and conducting SPL queries.
- Create Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Conduct system analysis and user behavior analysis.
- Perform ACAS/Tenable Security Center tasks such as building vulnerability and compliance scans, and work with system administrators to resolve findings.
- Operate and maintain McAfee products such as EPO or HBSS. This includes custom rule set construction and installing agents in conjunction with server configuration and engineering.
- Work with Engineers, Developers, and the ISSM, to document system settings and configurations as part of the Body of Evidence (BOE) for Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages in accordance with the NIST 800-53, Rev 4.
Basic Qualifications:
- minimum 8 years’ experience
- Hold at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) CE, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CISSP- Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), or CISSP- Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP). At least one IASAE Level II or IASAE Level III proficiency.
- Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including: Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WeblInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.
- Set up scheduled and ad-hoc scans/reports, and configure, maintain, and use various information security assessment tools.
- Ability to communicate remediation recommendations and timelines to POCs.
- Work with system and network POCs on remediation guidance, to assist with staying in compliance with defined remediation timelines.
- Experience with Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
Security Clearance:
- Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
