About the role
Processing of incoming / outgoing data files
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with local government/jurisdiction officials and their IT staffs in a manner that supports mutually beneficial real property tax data exchanges. Interacts directly with Agency and Service Bureau Data Contacts (e.g. IT) to validate how to interpret provided data.
- Partners with Agency Relations / Procurement to validate availability and sufficiency of tax data for delinquency reporting, escrow reporting, mass pay support, lien index maintenance, and data integrity.
- Downloads files from FTP sites and other sources if no file order activity is required
- Ensures Procurement team is aware of status of these downloads
- Verifies the integrity of each file prior to its use within LERETA’s system
- Maintains CDA and G360 Tracking systems to ensure timely processing of production files and visibility into end-to-end file processing status.
- Creates, maintains, and verifies data file specifications of all automated agencies
- Interprets, writes, and controls data tape file specifications for exchanging information with tax agencies.
- Communicates file processing requirements to IT and Data Acquisition coordinators
- Utilizes approved process to adjust parcel formats and associated tax lines when 1st identified via receipt of change in file
- Works with Customer Care / Agency Relations to research data related / file level questions stemming from inquiries from Agencies
- Responds to Standard Tax Reporting and Outsourcing Disbursement team questions / concerns / data integrity about the load and transfer of agency data that they utilize
- Supports heavy work periods, performs validation and FTP upload of automated bill requests and payment files.May be asked to support pre-load verification of file output
- Works with Agency Systems tech partners to resolve issues with Bill Request / Lien Index / Tax Amount / Delinquency / Tax Payment programs
- This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.
Requirements
- Knowledge of mainframe and PC based operating systems: Global 360 or similar workflow tool, Serena/PVCS/Dimensions or similar Change Management tool
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, applications, programs, and techniques to identify trends in diverse data types
- Basic Microsoft® Office Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word skills
- Minimum 5 years of Tax Service experience or equivalent business/technical knowledge
- Specific state processing expertise
- High School Diploma or equivalent
SALARY RANGE: $42,962 - $63,647
