The Snr. Manager of Tax Accounting & External Reporting will be responsible for corporate income tax accounting, research, and modeling to determine the expected tax effects of strategic business plans, as well as the oversight of statutory reporting, audits, and tax compliance within EMEA. The qualified candidate is a self-motivated, energetic, and confident individual able to operate with a high level of independence who possesses solid communication and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, flexibility, accountability, and the ability to take ownership are essential. This is a visible position that will regularly interact with domestic and international finance personnel. Looking for an individual who can flourish in a challenging, fast-paced professional environment.  The position will manage a team of two tax professionals, as well as coordinate the quarterly tax provision with the overall Corporate Tax team members.   The position is based in Greensboro, NC or remote (Eastern/Central Standard).
 

Responsibilities
 

    • Maintain all aspects of the Company's US GAAP global quarterly income tax provision to prepare SEC and other reporting disclosures, as well as internal presentations to the CFO group and Audit Committee
    • Monitor international, federal, and state tax legislation, as well as new accounting pronouncements, and determine relevant impact to quarterly tax provision.
    • Support interim and year-end US GAAP audits of tax provision, including the design, documentation and testing of Sarbanes-Oxley controls
    • Model the impact of strategic business plans and tax legislative changes on the Company's effective tax rate and cash taxes
    • Facilitate cross-functional team projects by providing technical analysis and assisting with project and transaction implementations
    • Manage annual EMEA corporate income tax return compliance, including collaborating and reviewing statutory account preparation and coordinating local statutory audits with shared-service providers and EMEA controllership group
    • Maintain relationships with 3rd party managed service providers, corporate administrative agents, internal accounting groups, independent audit firms, and local law firms
    • Manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance to support their continued development and success
    • Provide financial analysis, management reporting, and regular updates on statutory compliance
    • Identify sustainable strategic improvements, suggest corrective actions, coordinate and assist in implementation of changes and related controls and track efficiencies achieved

 

Qualifications

 

    • Significant ASC 740 experience required
    • Involvement with local statutory financial statements and audits of non-US entities
